Terms of use

The rules for using Restoman, as a restaurant, as part of its team or as a guest ordering from the menu. By using Restoman you accept them.

Updated Oct 29, 2026

What Restoman is

Restoman, by Restoman, is software for restaurants: the QR menu, orders and their payment with Mercado Pago, the counter, the kitchen, the team and the business's numbers. It includes this site, the menu guests open, the restaurants' dashboard and the Guide.

Restoman doesn't sell food or drink: each order is a purchase between the guest and the restaurant, which prepares it, charges for it and hands it over.

The terms with each restaurant

The price, term and other commercial conditions of the service are agreed in writing with each business. These terms apply in addition to that agreement; where they differ, the agreement prevails.

Accounts and access

You sign in with a code we email you, or with Google where it's offered. Keep your email secure: whoever has it can sign in to your account. Guests can order without creating an account.

To use the dashboard you must have legal capacity to contract, or act on behalf of a business that authorized you. Each business has one owner, who answers for who joins their team and with what role, and for what their team does in the dashboard.

What falls to the restaurant

The restaurant is responsible for what it offers and sells with Restoman:

  • That its menu, prices, photos and descriptions are accurate and don't infringe others' rights, including any allergen or ingredient information it must give.
  • Preparing and handing over what was paid for, at the chosen time, and handling its guests' complaints.
  • Invoicing its sales and meeting its tax and consumer-protection obligations. The receipt Restoman sends is not an invoice.
  • Its Mercado Pago account, which it connects itself, and its relationship with Mercado Pago, which Mercado Pago's own terms govern.
  • Canceling and refunding a paid order when it can't prepare it.

Orders and payments

An order is paid for before the kitchen sees it: it reaches the restaurant only once Mercado Pago approves the payment, and the money goes into the restaurant's Mercado Pago account. Restoman neither receives nor holds that money.

Until you've paid, you can cancel the order from its page. If the restaurant cancels a paid order, the refund goes back through Mercado Pago to the method you paid with, within Mercado Pago's and your bank's times. An unpaid order expires on its own.

Outside the restaurant's hours, or while it has paused orders, the menu can be viewed but takes no orders.

An order is food made for you that spoils quickly, so it doesn't carry the ten-day right to cancel that distance purchases have (article 1116 of Argentina's Civil and Commercial Code). That takes nothing from your other consumer rights: to get what you paid for, in good condition.

Complaints

If an order didn't turn out as expected, complain first to the restaurant, which sold it to you. If that doesn't settle it, you can file a consumer complaint with Argentina's Ventanilla Única Federal de Defensa del Consumidor. For a problem with Restoman, email us at hola@restoman.com.ar.

Acceptable use

You may not use Restoman to:

  • Place fake orders, try promo codes at random or harass a restaurant or its guests.
  • Try to get into accounts, businesses or data that aren't yours, or get around the service's limits.
  • Overload, interfere with or copy the service by automated means beyond what we publish for that (the markdown pages, llms.txt and the Guide's MCP server).
  • Publish illegal, misleading or offensive content, on a menu or in a review.

Reviews

After picking up an order you can rate it. Only the restaurant sees the review, and it can reply. It must be about your order and respect people.

Content and intellectual property

Restoman's software, brand and texts are ours. What each restaurant uploads (its menu, photos, logo) remains its own; it lets us store and show it in Restoman while it uses the service, which is what providing the service takes.

Availability

We work to keep Restoman running at all times, but there may be outages, for maintenance or failures of ours or of services it depends on, such as Mercado Pago. We may change, add or remove features; if we remove something a business uses, we tell it first.

Liability

Restoman answers for how its software works. It doesn't answer for what each restaurant sells, its prices or the preparation or handover of orders, nor for third-party services such as Mercado Pago. Nothing here limits your rights under Argentina's Consumer Protection Law 24.240 or any other rule that can't be waived.

Suspension and closing

You can stop using Restoman whenever you like; as a guest, you can delete your account from “Account”. We may suspend an account or a business that breaks these terms or puts others at risk; while suspended, a business can see its information but not change it.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update this page and its date. If the change is significant, we announce it in the dashboard or by email before it applies.

Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic. Any dispute goes to the ordinary courts of the City of Buenos Aires, unless you're a consumer: then you may go to the courts where you live.

For any question about these terms, email us at hola@restoman.com.ar.
