Restoman for businesses with several locations

When a business opens its second or third location, what used to get sorted out by word of mouth needs structure: which menu each one serves, who works where, and how each location is doing. Restoman runs it all from one dashboard.

Short answer

In Restoman, a business keeps all its locations in one dashboard. Several locations can serve the same menu, or each its own; sold-outs, hours, tables and people belong to each location; and the sales summary shows each location or all of them together. One Mercado Pago account for the business gets paid at all of them.

What a business with several locations needs

What belongs to the business should exist once, and what belongs to each location should live at that location. Mix them up and a price changes in one place but not the other, or someone ends up seeing what isn't theirs.

  1. 01 One menu, at one location or all Products belong to the business: a price change shows at every location that serves that menu.
  2. 02 The day's details, per location What ran out at one location doesn't have to be missing at another, and each opens at its own hours.
  3. 03 Everyone at their own location A location's manager runs theirs without touching the others.

How Restoman organizes it

Locations lists every location in the business, each with its own address and digital menu, published when it's ready. At the top of the sidebar, the location switcher moves from one to another.

  1. 01 A shared menu or its own Every new restaurant comes with its own menu. With "Change", several locations can serve the same one, and a change to it shows at all of them.
  2. 02 Sold-outs, hours and tables per location Each location has its own sold-outs, its own hours and closures, and its own tables with their QR codes.
  3. 03 People assigned to their locations When you invite someone you choose their location access: "All locations" or "Assigned locations only". Their roles' permissions apply where they work.
  4. 04 The summary, per location or all In Summary you pick one location or "All locations", and the downloadable spreadsheet names each order's location.

What usually goes wrong without a system

With every location you add, what used to be fixed with a message starts to break.

  1. 01 Menus drifting apart With a shared menu, you change a price once and it's the same at every location that serves it.
  2. 02 Too much access Each person reaches only their locations, and Activity records who changed what.
  3. 03 Numbers you can't compare The summary shows every location with the same figures: sales, orders, average ticket and kitchen time.
  4. 04 A location that closes Archiving a location makes it read-only, history intact, and it can be reactivated.

When it makes sense

It helps from the second location on, and more the more alike they are.

  1. 01 Chains with one menu Several locations serve one menu, and each handles its own day.
  2. 02 Different locations, one business Each location with its own menu, and the same team, the same Mercado Pago account and the same summary.
  3. 03 A manager per location Each manager sees and changes what's theirs: orders, sold-outs, hours, tables and shifts.
