Restoman for food courts

A food court brings different businesses under one roof. Restoman gives the food court one page with all its stalls, and gives each stall what's its own: its menu, its orders, its counter and its Mercado Pago account.

Short answer

In Restoman, a food court is a location that lists its stalls, and each stall is a restaurant of its own business, with its own menu, orders and Mercado Pago account. Diners can fill one cart with dishes from several stalls and pay stall by stall, each with its own payment, and each order reaches only its own stall's counter.

What a food court needs

A food court brings together several owners, each with their own till, kitchen and numbers. Diners, meanwhile, want to see it all in one place and order from more than one stall.

  1. 01 One way in for diners A food court page with every stall, which ones are taking orders and what's in the cart from each.
  2. 02 Every stall on its own Each stall gets paid into its own Mercado Pago account and sees only its own orders and numbers.
  3. 03 Orders from several stalls Diners add dishes from different stalls without standing in a line at each one.

How it works in Restoman

The food court is a location of the "Food hall or venue" type. Each stall is a restaurant, of the food court's business or another, with its menu published. Restoman's team links each stall to the food court once both owners agree.

  1. 01 The food court's page It lists its stalls, each with its logo or initials, its kind of food and whether it's taking orders now. Each stall opens its own menu.
  2. 02 One cart, one payment per stall The food court's cart groups what's from each stall and is paid in order, "Pay … (1 of 2)", each stall with its own Mercado Pago payment.
  3. 03 Each order to its own counter Each stall's order reaches only its own counter and kitchen, with its number, like any takeaway order.
  4. 04 Stalls in the food court's dashboard Under Stalls, the food court sees which locations sell there, which business they belong to, since when, and whether diners can see them yet.

What usually goes wrong without a system

When a food court takes all the money itself, or each stall handles things its own way, the same problems show up.

  1. 01 Splitting the money afterwards If the food court collects for everyone, someone has to split it later. In Restoman each stall gets paid straight into its own account.
  2. 02 One payment holding up the rest If one stall's payment doesn't go through, the others still stand, and the diner can go on to the next one.
  3. 03 Numbers all mixed up Each stall sees its own sales; the food court doesn't see the stalls' sales or orders.

04

When it makes sense

It fits spaces where several businesses sell side by side and diners move between them.

  1. 01 Food courts and food halls Several stalls with different owners, sharing tables.
  2. 02 One business with several brands If the stalls belong to the same business, each still has its own menu and counter.
  3. 03 Stalls that come and go Adding or removing a stall doesn't touch its menu or orders, and it shows in both businesses' Activity.
