# Restoman with Claude > Connect Claude to Restoman's Guide over MCP today, and to your restaurant once Restoman's MCP server ships. Once Restoman's MCP server ships, it will be able to answer about your own restaurant. **Short answer:** Claude connects to remote MCP servers. Today you can add the MCP server of Restoman's Guide, https://docs.restoman.com.ar/mcp, open and read-only, and ask it how any part of Restoman works. Connecting Claude to your business's data, with your role's permissions, comes with Restoman's MCP server, which isn't available yet. ## 01. What you can do with Claude today Restoman's Guide answers over MCP: Claude searches it and reads a whole guide when you ask how to do something. It needs no account and never sees your business's data. - **Ask how to do something.** "How do I sell out a dish until tomorrow?" or "who can cancel an order?": Claude finds the guide that explains it and answers from it. - **In Spanish or English.** Every guide comes in both languages, and the Guide's MCP server answers in the one you ask for. - **No account, none of your data.** The Guide's MCP server is open and read-only: it holds the guides and nothing about your business. ## 02. How to connect the Guide to Claude Claude adds remote MCP servers as connectors. Where you add them depends on the app and plan you use, so check Claude's help if you can't find it. - **Find the connectors.** In Claude's settings, look for the option to add a custom connector or a remote MCP server. - **Paste the address.** Use https://docs.restoman.com.ar/mcp and a name you'll recognize, like "Restoman Guide". It asks for no username or password. - **Ask away.** With the connector on in the conversation, ask about Restoman: Claude will use search_docs and get_doc to answer. - **No connector? It still works.** Every guide has a markdown version: give Claude the guide's address, or its text, and ask about it. ## 03. What's next: your restaurant in Claude (coming soon) With Restoman's MCP server, Claude will be able to read what Restoman knows about your business, with your role's permissions. It isn't available yet. - **Questions about your business.** "What sold least this month in Palermo?", answered with your location's sales, not an example. - **Changes you ask for.** "Mark the milanesa sold out in Palermo until tomorrow", only if your role can sell things out and you approved it when connecting. - **Your name in the activity log.** Every change shows up in the business's activity log as "Lucía via Claude". - **A Restoman plugin for Claude.** A plugin with skills for service, the menu and your numbers is planned, built on the same MCP server. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can Claude see my restaurant's sales yet? Not yet. That comes with Restoman's MCP server. Today Claude can read the Guide, which explains how every part of Restoman works. ### Which address do I use to connect the Guide? https://docs.restoman.com.ar/mcp. It's a remote MCP server, open and read-only, with two tools: search_docs and get_doc. ### Do I need a particular Claude plan? It depends on what your Claude account allows: check its settings to see whether you can add custom connectors. If not, you can give Claude a guide's address or text. ### Can Claude change anything in Restoman through the Guide? No. The Guide's MCP server only reads guides: it has no access to any business and can't change anything. ### Once Restoman's server ships, will Claude be able to do anything?
