Today ChatGPT can read Restoman's Guide and tell you how to do anything in it. Once Restoman's MCP server ships, it will be able to answer about your own restaurant.

**Short answer:** ChatGPT can connect to remote MCP servers, depending on your plan and mode. Today you can add the MCP server of Restoman's Guide, https://docs.restoman.com.ar/mcp, open and read-only, or just give it a guide's address. Connecting ChatGPT to your business's data, with your role's permissions, comes with Restoman's MCP server, which isn't available yet.

## 01. What you can do with ChatGPT today

Restoman's Guide is written for people and assistants alike: every guide has a markdown version, and the whole Guide answers over MCP. Neither needs your account.

- **Ask how to do something.** "How do I pause orders?" or "what does Not printed mean?": ChatGPT answers from the guide that explains it.
- **Hand it a guide.** Give it the address of a guide on docs.restoman.com.ar, or its version ending in .md, and ask about it.
- **None of your business's data.** The Guide only explains how Restoman works: it holds nothing about your business and can't change anything.

## 02. How to connect the Guide to ChatGPT

Connecting a remote MCP server to ChatGPT depends on your plan and mode, and its settings change often. If your account allows it, the Guide connects like any other.

- **Find where they're added.** In ChatGPT's settings, look for the option to connect an app or an MCP server by its address.
- **Paste the address.** Use https://docs.restoman.com.ar/mcp. It asks for no username or password: it's open and read-only.
- **Ask away.** With the Guide connected, ask about Restoman: ChatGPT will use search_docs to search and get_doc to read a whole guide.

## 03. What's next: your restaurant in ChatGPT (coming soon)

Restoman's MCP server will work with any assistant that connects to remote MCP servers, ChatGPT included. It isn't available yet.

- **Questions about your business.** What's sold out at each location, how today's orders are going, which dish sold most this week.
- **With your role's permissions.** ChatGPT will see and do what you can in the dashboard, in the business you pick when connecting it. By default, read only.
- **Every change in the activity log.** Whatever it changes shows up in the business's activity log under your name and ChatGPT's.
