# When each location opens, past midnight too > Set each location's week, late nights past midnight included, and its holidays. The menu tells guests whether you're open and until when, and no order comes in after hours. **Short answer:** In Restoman each location has its own week, with up to four ranges a day and ranges that run past midnight, plus closures for holidays or one-off days. With that, the menu says whether the location is open and until when, or when it opens again; takeaway orders only come in during opening hours, and items sold out "until tomorrow" come back when the next service starts. ## 01. Why put your hours in the system Hours that live on a sign or a social profile don't stop an order at 3 a.m. or warn anyone about a holiday. Set in Restoman, they drive the menu, the orders and the sold-out items. - **No orders after hours.** While the location is closed, guests can browse the menu but can't order or pay. - **Guests know when to come back.** The menu says "Open until 12:30 AM", or closed and when it opens, on the location's clock. - **Holidays, announced.** A closure takes that day out of the week, and the menu shows it in the location's hours. ## 02. How you set them Open them from Locations, with "Hours" on the location's row. The owner, the admins and the location's manager change them. - **The week, day by day.** On each day, "Add hours" with the opening and closing time. Up to four ranges a day, such as lunch and dinner. - **Past midnight.** 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM is entered as is: "next day" shows beside it, and it counts for the day it opens. - **Closures.** A single day or several in a row, with a reason only your team sees. They clear themselves once they're over. - **How it stands now.** The top says whether the location is open and until when, or when it opens, on its own clock. ## 03. What else depends on your hours Opening hours aren't just a detail for guests: they're how the rest of the system knows when the location is working. - **Takeaway orders.** With no hours set, the location shows as closed and takeaway orders can't be turned on. - **Pickup times.** The scheduled pickup times offered to guests are today's, within the location's hours. - **Sold out until tomorrow.** A dish marked sold out "Until tomorrow" comes back on its own when the location's next service starts. ## And also - **Past midnight.** A 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM range counts for the day it opens. - **Holidays.** Single days or runs of days when the location stays closed. - **On the location's clock.** Open or closed by the location's time, not the phone's. - **No orders after hours.** When closed, guests can browse but not order. ## Frequently asked questions ### Can I set hours that run past midnight? Yes. Enter them as they are, for example 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM: "next day" shows beside it, and the range counts for the day it opens. ### Can I open for lunch and dinner on the same day? Yes. Each day can have up to four ranges. If two overlap, Restoman tells you when you save. ### How do I add a holiday? Add a closure with the day, or a range of days, and if you like a reason such as "New Year's Day", which only your team sees. That day the menu shows the location as closed. ### What if a location has no hours set? It shows as closed and takes no orders.
